Kid Cudi "Man On the Moon: The End of Day." Private Listening Event NYC

Tonight, I attended Kid Cudi's private listening event for the media held at Griffin in New York city. Universal/Motown wanted bloggers/ writers to be the first to hear Cudi's album. I think Cudi did a great job on the album! The productions left a stinging impression on most of the people in the audience; Especially myself and my good friend Sophie at Time Out Nyc.
I also met Sylvia Rhone, the president of Universal Motown Records! Sylvia is one of the most influential women in the music industry! She's adorable, beautiful and inspires me to be better every day! I have been following her career for some time now and it's always a pleasure to meet your influences.
In Sylvia Rhone's words " Kid Cudi is here to change the game". She admitted Universal fought hard to have Kid Cudi on their roster.
I happened to meet Kid Cudi two months ago while hanging out in Soho! One of the coolest guy you can possibly meet along with my bro Mickey Factz!

David E Beats Featured on Hip Hop Ruckus

New York, NY—August 18th, 2009—David E Beats joins Tone Trump, Clap Cognac and DJ Bedtyme 357 as a featured artist on Hip Hop Ruckus for the “On Da Come Up” section.
"David E Beats is a talented artist whose musical versatility will open up many avenues to him in the coming years." - Javi, Hip Hop Ruckus.com
In the interview, David E Beats talked about his first acclaimed project David E Beats Blvd, the differences between writing poetry and writing bars and more.
Find an excerpt below:
Introduction to Hip Hop Ruckus article: Hailing from Washington D.C., emcee David E. Beats first started developing his Hip Hop sound when he copped his first rap CD. What CD was that you wonder? Jay-Z’s Blueprint, not a bad choice at all.
Before that though Beats wrote poetry, painted and played the flute so painting a picture with words came easily – figuratively and literally. His New York City Open Mic Showcase Tour has given him a presence on the underground rap scene while the release of his mixtape debut David E Beats BLVD has generated love from Hip Hop’s online community and even got spins on North Carolina’s 89.9 FM.
Hip Hop Ruckus: Before you even spit your first rhyme you wrote a lot of poetry. Has poetry influenced your music?
David E Beats: “Poetry has more shaped my music than anything. I approach rapping from a poetic standpoint, where each word, even the vulgar ones, have a meaning and a special place within the song. I am often told I am a great writer when one takes the time to analyze my rhymes and the subjects behind them!”
