David E Beats (White House Band)





    David E Beats, a rapper/ guitarist (hailing from D.C) wanted to get more exposure when he moved up to New York and was seeking to publicize his music in the New York Hip Hop scene. His music is Alternative Hip Hop, composed of bass heavy rhythms, electrifying guitar riffs, and honest; clever lyrics.

    Beats made his debut on national television in May 2010 on BET “The Deal”, becoming one of the rare unsigned artists to be featured on the show since it aired. The show covers the global movement, connecting viewers to what’s hot on the streets and in the industry. Additionally, Jimmy Jazz, the fashion leader in urban clothing featured him in their Spring Look book Online Campaign.

    After bursting onto the national scene Hip Hop scene in 2009, David E Beats is continuing his ascent into the music industry. His first single “Walk In” landed straight on the banger section of XXL Mag.com and his first music video ever “Maybe Tomorrow” landed on VH1 Soul “Fresh New Music” , MTV and MTVu. Beats was selected to be in an MTVu Freshmen contest. The video was even ranked on the Top 10 most viewed videos! The video is now available via digital platform on MTV Music.com, MTV Canada and AOL Video. David E Beats second music video “Over Here” went viral , receiving more than 15, 000 views in its first week with features on The Source.com, DJ Semtex.com.

    Hip Hop DX honored David E Beats as “DX Next Artist” and Jimmy Jazz dubbed him as ” one of Hip Hop’s Most Promising Artist.” A few months later David E Beats was chosen to participate in a Jimmy Jazz Spring Online Campaign. In March 2010, Beats participated in SXSW Music Festival (Music Tech Mash-up Showcase) , he also headlined the DIY Bushwick Music Festival, performed at the Time Out NY Make Music Festival and YUME Fest.

    In May 2010, BET filmed a full segment on David E Beats for the show “The Deal”. Digiwaxx picked him for their Black Music Month Campaign and he was also reviewed in the print issue of Music Connection Magazine. In July 2010, a year later he jumped on the scene, David E Beats was nominated for the 8th Annual Underground Music Awards for “Best Contender” and “Best Music Video”. Beats performed over 50 shows since June 2009 at keys NYC venues such as Santos Party House, Sobs, Crash Mansion, National Underground and more. Beats recently formed the White House Band. They opened for Noreaga for CMJ 2010 at Sobs. They released a music video “The Bond Song” and a debut EP “The Method”. They currently embarked on “The Stimulus Package” Tour and are gearing to release an EP named after the tour.
