NEW YORK (July 10, 2012) – Members of the Broadway Cast will attend a makeover and beauty day at Wellington Hair Spa on July 19 at 11 am.
This exclusive day of pampering and breakfast will feature makeovers, brunch, mimosas, and photos/interviews with members of the cast of FELA! In addition, FELA! is providing tickets to Wellington Hair Spa stylists so they can experience the three-time Tony Award-winning musical.
“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious Broadway cast,” said Senior Hair Stylist Patrick Wellington. “We are thrilled to host the cast members and are excited to see the show.”
FELA! details the true story of innovative Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, who created Afrobeat, an eclectic mixture of jazz, funk, & African rhythm. Kuti used his music to openly confront Nigeria’s corrupt and oppressive dictatorships. Inspired by his mother, a Civil Rights champion, Kuti fought for freedom and human dignity.
FELA! is back on Broadway this summer and running for only four weeks. Performances starts July 9th – August 4th!
