I AM PR: The Grey Area Selected As A Listen Local First’s“Featured Artist” For The Month of May! (@TheGreyAreaDC)

    The Grey Area has been selected as one the 8 featured artists for the month of May on the popular Listen Local First. The local music initiative, Listen Local First DC, is devoted to building awareness and creating opportunities for local musicians and venues in order to raise the profile of DC’s local music scene. This month, The Grey Area will benefit from a Listen Local Day on May 9th. Their music will also be streaming in a local business all month in D.C.

    Keeping up a busy schedule, the band also announced a new concert, opening for Chicago’s Filligar at DC9 on May 26th, 2012. Filligar is currently #3 on Billboard’s list of What’s Next in music, so The Grey Area are thrilled to co-headline a bill with the band.

    The Grey Area just opened for Deli’s 2009 NY Emerging Artist of the Year Midnight Spin, and recently came back from a west coast tour, with shows in Los Angeles with Planet LA Records, Austin for SXSW, and Las Vegas. Earlier last year, the band released a music video for their single “Ourselves” off their debut EP 508. The project is available for stream via http://thegreyareadc.bandcamp.com
