[Interview]: I AM PR Agency’s President Olivia Dikambi Interviewed by Definitely Amazing!
The Amazing young lady Olvia Dikambi has everything you look for in an inspiring woman. She is dedicated, a determined hustler, and intelligent. Her drive and eye for talent is what makes her perfect for her buisness of PR, no to mention she is no push over and demands respect as much as she gives. We were supposed to honor her and her Company last year with a whole week dedicated to I AM PR Agency but as you know My health took a turn for the worst last year. Now that Im back and DA is back in the swing of things I wanted to bring you our fantastic interview and introduce you to this phenomenal woman thanks Olivia.
1) Define “Definitely Amazing” as it pertains to Talent ?
OD: Definitely Amazing is an artist with the ability to dream big, talk the talk and walk the walk.
2) What are the Top five things you look for when scouting new talent for I AM PR ?
OD: When scouting new talent, I usually look for an amazing story, great music, I need to sense the artist is passionate about what he/she does and determined to perfect its craft. Lastly, the artist needs to be brand conscious.
3) The Music that comes out of this camp is outstanding, eclectic, and Different. What is it that makes the artist from this agency so new and fresh?
OD: The fact that these artists ARE new and fresh! I think, it’s awesome that the artists have their own musicality, their own approach to the game. They are not trying to fit the mold or be just like everyone else in their field. This right here is refreshing to me! A lot of artists are chasing the deal and don’t stick to their brand to get to the top, I think it’s a mistake. Nowadays, a lot artists either hop on making trendy music or making music that doesn’t fit them. My clients dare to be different.
4) How does one get an opportunity to showcase themselves for I AM PR?
OD: It’s very easy! Artists can send an email to I AM PR Agency viaiampragency@gmail.com. In the email, they should submit their music, indicate how long they’ve been looking for PR, a list of their past shows and press. And from there, we will contact you back and determine in what capacity we can work together.
5) David E Beats & the White House Band do a phenomenal live performance. What makes the live performances from your camp so exciting?
OD: Artist Development is listed among our services. I really like to make sure the artist is polished from the studio, to the interviews, to the stage. I spent a lot of time with The White House Band discussing ways to enhance their live show. They take the concert experience very seriously. What makes their live show very exciting is the fact they understand the importance of creating a memorable experience for the audience. When they are on stage, they give 100% to their fans. They are very loud, energetic and captivating! That’s phenomenal!
6) With Fantastic Ladies like Likwuid, Deena Jonez, and Kandys on your roster you have shown you go after Definitely Amazing women. What was it about these women that made you say yeah they’re DA! ?
OD: Likwuid, Deena Jonez and Kandys, are three ladies who are really hands on in business and managing their careers. Likwuid has already toured the world, Deena Jonez is a hard-worker and she is very gifted. Kandys is a great songwriter and she also a great performer. These ladies all embodies great talent and have a very bright future ahead of them, so I really wanted to work with them and help them take it to the next level.
7) Now Let’s focus on the woman behind the name, Olivia. What made you interested in this line of work?
OD: I’ve always had an interest for the entertainment industry. I never imagined it would work in it as a publicist. I was a dancer and wanted to be a choreographer, but after I twisted my ankle and couldn’t dance for a 1 year, it l led me to focus more on working behind the scenes. After a successful PR experience in Paris, when I moved to the U.S, I decided to continue the experience in the PR field. I never looked back since then.
What makes you Definitely Amazing?
OD: Thank you for referring me as such! I think what makes me amazing is the fact that I strive to be different. I don’t come from a traditional PR background and I’m very proud of that. I was able to learn English very fast and I speak four foreign languages. Most importantly, I was able to make a living in a country known to be very competitive. I hope that makes me somewhat amazing. 
9) What are some of the qualities you look forward to in picking a Definitely Amazinggentleman?
OD: Huh? Are we still discussing PR? *Smiles*. On professional level, I like the fact that men rarely put feelings into making business decisions, so I like to deal with a gentleman who is really business-savvy. On a personal level, I like when a man is not afraid of his girl’s success. Confidence, intelligence, business savvy and integrity are some of the qualities I would look at.
10) What’s next for I AM PR?
OD: I AM PR Agency will conquer the world one campaign at the time. I’m currently in the process of revamping and re-boosting the I AM PR brand. So be on the look out for that. I AM PR Agency will be involved in more special events in 2011. I also would like to create a European division of the company, but that’s another convo.
